Welcome to PAWS!
PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap is a grass roots volunteer-based nonprofit animal welfare organization. By providing a wide range of direct services, it strives to nurture and sustain the bond of companionship between pets and their people.
Beginning Monday, August 23, PAWSBINK Adoption Centers at both Pleasant Beach and Kingston will be opening for limited walk-in hours.
Pleasant Beach Adoption Center, 4688 Lynwood Center Rd. on Bainbridge Island, will be open Saturdays from 12-2pm.
The Kingston Adoption Center at 26569 Lindvog Rd. in the Windermere Building, will be open Sundays from 12-2pm.
Walk-in services will include:
- Vet Assistance & Low-cost Spay/Neuter application drop off/pickup,
- Pet retention counseling,
- Community resources information,
- Set up adoption meet and greet appointments.
At this time, there will be no social petting open to the public at either PAWSBINK Adoption Center.
Due to inconclusive Covid-19 research and in order to ensure the continued safety and health of the animals, volunteers, staff, and community members, masks and social distancing are required while visiting our PAWSBINK Adoption Centers.
As always, PAWSBINK is your pet information resource. If you need help or information about your pet, please contact us at 206-842-2451 x3 or paws@pawsbink.org. PAWSBINK staff will return your call within three business days.
Looking for a furry family member?
To set up an adoption appointment, please go to Petango.com to view cats available for adoption, or email catadopt@pawsbink.org. All available cats are also listed under Adopt a Cat, petfinder.com and adoptapet.com.

If you would like to make an appointment to adopt a cat or kitten, please email: catadopt@pawsbink.org, go to www.Petango.com, or Fax: 360-785-2182. Please include the animal’s name along with your contact information and staff will connect with you within three working days.
Providing a Safety Net
By providing Veterinary Financial Assistance, Senior Support and a Pet Food Bank, PAWS provides the resources needed to keep cherished pets at home. Sometimes being able to have a pet in your life and needing to surrender that beloved companion to a shelter can be a very close call for a family who is suddenly living on the brink. Pet retention programs like these take the pressure off overcrowded shelters and keep families together.
Proving There's No Place Like Home
Whether through our collaborative Right Dog-Right Home Matchmaking Program, our innovative PALS Senior Placement Program, our free county-wide KitsapLostPets.org Lost and Found Service, or our highly regarded Adoption Program that rescues at-risk cats and kittens from high kill shelter areas, PAWS is working every day to nurture and sustain the bond of companionship between pets and their people.
Supporting A Compassionate Community
From our Good Samaritan Fund for injured found pets, to supporting community caregivers with feral cats, to providing a Guardian Angel Fund for the humane euthanasia of suffering animals whose owners cannot afford this final act of kindness and serving as a pet education resource, PAWS is there for the most vulnerable in our community thanks to the support we receive from so many like-minded individuals right here at home.
