Screen Shot 2015-09-04 at 11.41.09 AMUnwanted and unplanned pet pregnancy, along with deadly and contagious diseases, wreak havoc on low-income pet-owning families. Without resources to provide basic preventative health care, they leave their sexually intact family pets at risk for a host of health problems, compounded by litters of unwanted puppies and kittens. Left unvaccinated, these pets also are susceptible to viruses that could easily kill them. PAWS provides financial assistance for low income families to assist them with Spay/Neuter services.

Pet-loving families are in need. Your donated bag or dry cat or dog food helps neighbors who are struggling to care for their four-legged friends.

PAWS’ Pet Food Bank program provides cat food and dog food to four food banks on Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap. We partner with Helpline House, Fishline, ShareNet and Central Kitsap Food Bank to distribute the pet food to needy families in our community.

Pet Food Drive

Throughout the year, we rely on groups and individuals to help us meet the needs of the families served through our Pet Food Bank. This year we are participating in Operation Day of Hope and will need 1000 pounds of dog and cat food for this one day event in October.  If you are interested in organizing a pet food drive in your community, school, church or business, please contact You can also drop off donations of dry dog or cat food at our donation stations – Paws & Fins Pet Store, A Country Pet Shoppe- Kingston or B.I.
